It is another beautiful day in the Texas Hill Country and what could be better than enjoying this sunny weather, a beautiful view of rolling hills AND eating great food?  If you're a fan of this combination, then be grateful you live in, near, around or have access to the Texas Hill Country! If you've got some time on your hands this upcoming weekend, I highly suggest making a trip out to see the amazing things Texas has to offer, including lunch and dinner breaks at any of the places we highlight today.

Mama Chole's

When I head out to Leakey, there are two destinations I ALWAYS visit.  Frio Cañon is, of course, the first of my necessary stops, but the second is a little Tex-Mex restaurant in the heart of downtown Leakey.  Mama Chole's, found on Main Street, is a quaint, casual, hole-in-the-wall type of a restaurant with excellent food.  Their chips are home-made, the salsa is outstanding and you can't miss out on their enchiladas. If you want to treat yourself, go for the Mama Chole's plate with enchiladas and their fabulous tacos.
